Shauna is a New York City based actor who hails from Los Angeles. Bloom received her BFA in Performance from San Diego State University where she performed for Edward Albee in a series of directing juries sponsored by the Old Globe. She earned her Equity card touring with The American Stage Festival, then cut her teeth on stage in LA at The Road Theatre (LA Weekly Award), Boston Court, and The Blank (Sons of the Prophet).
TV credits include “American Horror Story,” “Nip Tuck,” “The Tonight Show” and a recurring role as Red John’s accomplice Rebecca Anderson on “The Mentalist”. Shauna continued to work on stage in NYC. Off Broadway: “Let’s Get Ready Together” (The Tank), “Aunt Jack” (Theatre for the New City), “Babycakes” (The Hearth) and “FUKT” (New Circle Rep). Regional stints: “Refuge Malja” at Portland Stage and “Smail” at Premiere Stages. Recent projects include Comedy Central’s “The Other Two” and Frank Hudec’s WWI radio play, “Craiglockhart”.
Shauna has studied with Steppenwolf Theatre (Jeff Perry and Alex Billings) and The Actor’s Studio (Salome Jens and Larry Moss). Bloom is also a champion for children and has also run a tutoring business for 20 years. Shauna lives a stone’s throw from the GW Bridge in Washington Heights.
